SpitFire Last Callers Utility 1.5
INTRODUCTION
SFLCU is a utility for Spitfire BBSes that generates a last ten callers
screen. SFLCU uses information from the DOOR.SYS file in order to make
the screen.
Files received in this Archive:
SFLCU15.EXE -> The main executable
SFLCUCFG.EXE -> The configuration utility
SFLCU.DOC -> What you're reading
INSTALLATION
Unzip SFLCU15.ZIP in your main Spitfire directory. Run the
configuration utility, SFLCUCFG.EXE. Here is a run-down of the program.
Enter the registration code:
You will enter the code to register your copy of SFLCU at this
prompt.
Enter the name of your BBS:
If you have a registered copy of SFLCU, your BBS's name will be
displayed.
Enter the FULL pathname of the screen and NO extension:
Enter in the complete pathname to which you want the display
screens written to. Do NOT use a file extension, it will add the
proper Spitfire Extensions for display files automatically. If an
extension is added, a run-time error will occur.
Do you want local log ons to appear - Registered Only (Y/N):
When you register SFLCU, you will then get an option whether or not
you want local log ons (mainly SysOp logons) to appear in the
display screens. This can be to your advantage, because a SysOp
might have to log on multiple times in a row for some odd reason.
This will create a file called SFLCU.DAT, which the main program reads
from. Please keep all these files in the main Spitfire directory, or
you'll get a run-time error which will mean that a file was not found. To
run SFLCU, just put the line SFLCU15.EXE in your SFINIT.BAT file. Here's
an example:
@ECHO OFF
CD XXX <- (Your Spitfire Directory.)
SFLCU15.EXE
XXX <- (Whatever else is in here.)
SFLCU will then create a bulletin file, whatever type you want created,
whether it be a welcome screen or a bulletin file. However, if you ever
want to change the filename that it is written to, just simply run
SFLCUCFG.EXE again, and reenter the information. Before you do, remember
the registration code so I don't have to send it to you another one.
